If you don’t know what your décor style is, we will assist you in selecting one that works best for you.

We also offer design programs that enhances the total mind, body and spirit. By request ONLY, we can incorporate color therapy, Feng Shui and environmentally friendly design concepts into your interior design project. There is an extra charge on top of our regular design service for the holistic design and feng shui design services. If these services are desired in your design plan, please let us know during our initial consultation.

MEET THE TEAM


In 2005, two accomplished designers teamed up to form Design Scheme Interiors, LLC. Since then this dynamic duo has been taking the design world by storm. Together they make up 15 years of interior design experience, both residential and commercial. Let’s meet them:
Susan Schemm

 

Susan Featherstone-Schemm, Principal

Susan Schemm has a Degree in Interior Design from Bradley Academy, and has over five years of professional interior design experience. She has advanced knowledge in all aspects of interior design; residential, commercial, hospitality, educational and healthcare. She has worked on such projects as the University of Baltimore, Baltimore City Community College, and various same day surgery centers throughout Maryland. It is her goal to help her clients create beautiful yet functional spaces. She artfully combines clients existing furnishings with new items to create a comfortable aesthetically pleasing living atmosphere.

Susan was recently selected as a semi-finalist for HGTV's Design Star interior design reality show!

Sherry Ways 

Sherry Burton-Ways, Principal

Sherry Ways creates Interior Attunement through the use of Personalized Feng Shui, Color Therapy and Holistic Design for both residential and commercial environments. As an intentional decor specialist, her programs and design solutions are focused on creating well being by supporting the intent of the occupants through Intentional Design and Green Design awareness. Her results focus on relieving stress in residential and commercial environments. It is her goal to create customized living spaces that overcome decorating challenges and evokes a feeling of well-being.

Sherry has a B.S. degree and has studied Interior Design a the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. Ms. Ways holds a Certificate in Color Therapy and is a certified color consultant. Sherry is also a trained Feng Shui Practitioner with expert knowledge of several Feng Shui approaches including East/West system, Compass School, Feng Shui Redesign and others.

 
Kerry Kopacek

Kerry Kopasek, Design Associate

Kerry has a Bachelor's degree and has continued her interior design education at Catonsville Community College in Catonsville, Maryland. Her experience expands both residential and commercial worlds. Her projects are also resourceful as she is considerate of the earth's natural resources. Kerry is knowledgeable of the many products that are eco-friendly, cost-effective, and aesthetically attractive. Kerry takes great pride in every project she delivers.
